Nie dbam o gwiazdy, gdy mi słońce świeci (I Care Not About the Stars When the Sun Is Shining) 2018

Skwer Inwalidów wojennych, Gdańsk-Oliwa, Poland
contribution to Narracje #10 (Narrations #10)
fluorescent inscription
typeface: derived from the street sign

This phrase comes from the book Przysłowia (Proverbs) by Oskar Kolberg. The work refers on the one hand to the motto of Narracje #10: The silent sun was like a giant zenith of a song, the fragment of the ending of Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem written toegether with Lou Andreas-Salomé in the Oliwa Park; on the other hand the work refers to the name of the place: Inwalidów Wojennych Square (square dedicated to war-disabled persons).
